Brooke Amity-stamp
Brooke Amity-stamp is a contemporary dancer, performance maker and graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts. A principle member of Balletlab, Brooke has toured extensively through the USA, Canada, Asia and Europe with a recent residency in the Experimental Media and Performing Arts Centre in Upstate New York, and has remounted Balletlab repertoire at various dance institutions throughout Australia.

In 2005 Brooke was the recipient of the Skills and Development Grant awarded by the Australia Council for the Arts through which she has spent extensive periods of time in New York City, working with and learning from various dance artists including Sara Rudner, Stephen Petronio, Yvonne Miers and Miguel Gutierrez.

Brooke has worked and toured with BalletLab, Chunky Move, Dance Works, God Be in My Mouth Company, and has collaborated locally with companies and artists including Chamber Made Opera, Shelly Lasica, Rebecca Hilton, Miguel Gutierrez (New York), Stephanie Lake and Luke George. She has also worked with musical outfits Research and Development, TZU, Theatre of Disco, and most recently Supermelody, and has also been involved in the work of visual artist Ash Keating, as well as video artists Matthew Gingold and David Rozetsky. Stamp was nominated for Best Female Dancer at the 2007 Green Room Awards for her work in Brindabella (by Philip Adams and co choreographer Miguel Gutierrez). In 2009 Brooke made a full Length work for the graduating students at the Adelaide Centre for the Arts (nominated for an Adelaide Fringe Festival Award), choreographed two works commissioned by the Melbourne Fringe Festival REVERB program, and went on to complete 2009 with her most recent solo work 'Orbit Score for Yoko', for the Pieces for Small Spaces event curated by Lucy Guerin.

She has taught nationally at the Victorian College for the Arts, Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and the National Aboriginal Skills and Development Association. Her most recent international teaching was for Oni Dance Company in Los Angeles. Brooke performed a new solo called VENUS DEVOTIONAL 2010 - at the Nextwave Festivals Sportsclub Project at the MCG in May 2010.
