FEVER BEACHA supernatural tour for the iPhone GPS linked to Point Nepean National Park.
Fever Beach is an audio - visual hallucination for the iPhone triggered by GPS as you move through Point Nepean National Park. Once downloaded a mystical and fearsome journey is undertaken, as the phone intercepts surreal transmissions from both the past and present.
Fever Beach is a dreamy, conspiratorial and kitsch exploration of a site renowned for its military history, medical mysteries, the death of Prime Minister Harold Holt, as well as its botanical beauty and fragile geology.
Conceived of and created by an international group of artists, composers and technicians during a residency with Parks Victoria. The collaborators Louise Terry, James Hullick, Matthew Gingold, Josh Garndiner, Geoff Lillemon, Anita Fontaine, Thea Baumann and Willoh S.Weiland created the Fever Beach video and music on-site with the communities of the Point Nepean National Park.
Fever Beach stars among others Aunty Carolyn Briggs, the Tootgarook Cub Scout Group, Sorrento Croquet Club, the Astral Theatre Society and botanist Gidja Walker.
Fever Beach is a carbon-neutral APP, everytime you download and play it it another tree is planted in the unique biosphere of the Mornington Peninsula.
