These three small puppet plays were first performed as a triptych in October 2004, presented by Aphids and the Melbourne International Arts Festival in association with La Mama.
The production was directed by Margaret Cameron, performed by Sarah Kriegler and Caroline Lee, with lighting by Amelia Roper, sound by Jethro Woodward, concept and research by Cynthia Troup; produced by David Young.
According to John Bernard Myers, A Quarreling Pair by Jane Bowles was first performed with A Sentimental Playlet by Charles Henri Ford in 1945 or 1946 at Spivy's Roof, New York, with music by Paul Bowles and puppets made by Kurt Seligmann and Arlette Seligman.
