APHIDS HOARDINGS

From June to September in 2021 and 18 July to 29 August 2022, APHIDS is celebrating our rich of collaboration on the public hoardings on the Metro Tunnel construction hoardings at Franklin St, Melbourne, right near the city baths.

The 30 photos are pulled from our archive and feature collaborators from APHIDS projects over the last decade, including our artist community, workers from the gig-economy, a funeral director, a pizza shop owner and other participants around the world.

Check these large scale photos out on your next walk through Melbourne CBD.

This project is a collaboration with the Metro Tunnel Creative Program.

This display has been made possible by the Metro Tunnel Creative Program to celebrate 28 years of Aphids performances. The Metro Tunnel Creative Program supports Melbourne’s vibrancy, liveability and public spaces during the construction of the Metro Tunnel Project.

In 2021, the hoardings were presented as part of the 2021 Melbourne Fringe Festival. More info here.

APHIDS acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Boon wurrung peoples on whose lands we live and work. Sovereignty was never ceded and we pay our respect to past, present, and future Aboriginal elders and community, and to their long and rich history of artmaking on this Country.
