UNDERGROUND

“An intimate miracle” – RealTime

Underground combines the intimacy of a small concert, with the beauty and intrigue of Rosemary Joy’s hand-crafted percussive sculptures with music by composer David Young.

Part of a series of sculptural percussion works created by Rosemary, Underground has been performed by Slagwerk den Haag a number of times in the Netherlands and Belgium since 2007. This return season by the ensemble took place at Netherland’s Wonderfeel Festival season. Underground was first performed in a disused clay mine in Western Victoria by Eugene Ughetti and Matthias Schack-Arnott. The work has been performed in Mexico, Belgium, the Netherlands, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and in a samurai hotel in Japan.
